A toast to Wine Town Stellenbosch

The recent Wine Town Stellenbosch beared witness to the ingenuity and consistency with which we bring ideas to life – keeping Stellenbosch South Africa’s premier wine region. The annual event promotes the wines, culture, and gastronomy of the Stellenbosch region.

Wine Town 2023

This year’s edition showcased some of the best of Stellenbosch’s offerings, giving wine enthusiasts a comprehensive immersion into the region’s illustrious wine scene. Over two days, the festival saw an impressive turnout of both local and international visitors looking for a curated wine experience.

Hosted in the historic Town Hall, Wine Town featured more than 55 leading Stellenbosch producers, who generously poured more than 200 wines. Chefs Bertus Basson and Adele Grewar prepared sumptuous dishes.

Carol Thorns (Cello in a Bubble) and Dorette Roos (Electric Cello), complemented by the lively beats from DJ Anker.

The event coincided with the month-long #Stellenbucks Restaurant Rewards programme that rewards celebrate culinary exploration into rewards. Patrons can receive up to 30% cashback on their dining bills, accumulating Stellenbucks directly into their SnapScan wallets. With a minimum spend of R300 and a cap of R250 per voucher, they can relish the reward of every bite. Payments via SnapScan at our participating restaurants will let the rewards flow.

The event was built on the participation of wineries, ranging from time-honoured stalwarts to thrilling new participants. Esteemed names like Spier, Simonsig, Alto, Neethlingshof, Middelvlei, Morgenster, Meerlust, Lanzerac, Villiera, Remhoogte, Peter Falke Wines, Hartenberg, Cavalli, Kaapzicht, and Zevenwacht featured prominently.
