Don’t Miss the Final Moments of the Stellenbosch Triennale 2025

Time is running out to witness one of the compelling Stellenbosch Triennale 2025, which comes to a close on 30 April. This is your final opportunity to immerse yourself in a bold artistic exploration of identity, memory, resilience, and imagination.

Explore Three Powerful Exhibitions

From the Vault

📍 Rupert Museum & Stellenbosch University Museum
This introspective exhibition uncovers lesser-seen collections and reframes archival narratives, exploring how memory and material intertwine. Featuring artists such as Kemang wa Lehulere, Lungiswa Joe, Andile Dyalvane, and Sisonke Papu, the works use mediums like clay to act as vessels of ancestral knowledge and cultural storytelling.

In the Current

A global dialogue takes shape in this newly introduced exhibition, which brings together contemporary voices responding to our current moment. From the United States to Brazil and South Africa, artists like Torkwase Dyson, Lebohang Kganye, and Aline Motta present works that traverse themes of black geographies, resilience, and layered histories — resonant, urgent, and thought-provoking.

On the Cusp

Shining a spotlight on emerging artists from Africa and its diaspora, this dynamic exhibition is a space for experimentation and innovation. Featuring talents such as Manyaku Mashilo (SA), Takunda Regis Billiat (Zimbabwe), and Helen Zeru (Ethiopia), the works have been created in real-time during their stay in Stellenbosch, responding directly to the land and its complex stories.

Whether you’re a seasoned art lover or a curious newcomer, the Stellenbosch Triennale offers an expansive, moving encounter with contemporary art in the heart of the Winelands.

Don’t miss your chance to experience this rare moment of artistic convergence — visit before 30 April.
