The highly anticipated and not-to-be-missed Strauss & Co NORTH/SOUTH Live Virtual Auction will take place from 8-11 November 2020 boasting 883 lots, eight sessions and three catalogues. Spanning over four days, both art and wine aficionados will have the opportunity to bid on a plethora of coveted liquids and art pieces. With modern and contemporary art, decorative arts, jewellery and some of the world’s best wines from a private single owner collection, the NORTH/SOUTH sale format is indeed a new normal in the world of wine and art auctions. In 2013, Strauss & Co became the first art auction house in South Africa to hold online art auctions featuring works of art by well-known artists that are targeted at entry-level buyers.

Learn and play for the whole family

This summer, the Elemental Play Garden will host workshops for youngsters on Saturday mornings: learn how to ensure the perfect fire, create your very own kite to take home, and build an insect house and bird feeder. Each workshop cost R100, starts at 09:30 and will last about an hour. Bookings can be made via Dineplan or visit Spier’s website for more information. COVID-19 precautions will be in place and a maximum of 12 children will be permitted per workshop.
