Work up a sweat on a trail run, enjoy world-class performances at the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival and get your cheesy fix at Delheim Wines. There is an exciting variety of different events and happenings to enjoy in our list of things to do this weekend.

There’s nothing quite like a bit of exertion and a dose of fresh air to fend off the winter blues. Two events worth getting out of bed for take place this weekend.

Find out who will be the Fittest on the farm. The 4th instalment of this popular Cross Training event will take place on Saturday the 6th of July 2019 at the beautiful Nederburg Wine Estate just outside Paarl.

The run will meander through the beautiful vineyards at Nederburg and neighbouring farms. Enjoy the wines, beers and 28Black infused drinks on offer while supporting your efforts and sampling some well-deserved chow.

MYRUN takes place every Sunday morning at Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate invites fitness lovers to take part in a timed run or walk through their beautiful vineyards. Go the full 5km route or take it easy with the 2.5km option. Register ahead of time on the myrun website to receive your QR code and collect your timing band on the day. Participants should be there at 07:30 sharp. Tickets are free. All fitness levels welcome.

Look out for Portals: An exhibition by Scott Eric Williams Scott, resident artist at the GUS Gallery in a programme funded by the Mellon Foundation. The exhibition runs from Saturday 6 July at 15h00 until 27 August 2019.

The popular Delheim Jazz & Fondue events feature a symphony of cheese and wine from the celebrated Stellenbosch winery served alongside a musical programme of the Cape Town Music Academy NPO and Jazz in the Native Yards. Each lunchtime show runs from noon to 15:00. Click here for more information.

The Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival (SICMF) has become a cultural institution. This years program features top local and international talent including 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition silver medal laureate, Marc Bouchkov in his first international engagement since his recent recognition in Moscow.
