Wine Weekend @ Upper Blaauwklippen Valley – 2 to 4 August 2019

Spend your weekend unwinding in the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley, Stellenbosch where you and your partner will stay in one of Mont Angelis’ Luxury cottages for two nights. You will start your weekend off at De Trafford with a special wine tasting & delicious dinner. Saturday morning will begin with a wine tasting and cellar tour at Dornier, followed by a wine-paired lunch at Kleinood. Collaboration Dinner @ Boschendal – 3 August 2019

Chris Erasmus, of Foliage, joins Christiaan Campbell for an evening of foraging and feasting from The Werf Food Garden.

The Foraging themed evening will be hosted by two of South Africa’s top chefs, Chris Erasmus and Christiaan Campbell.

The evening will commence with a guided tour through The Werf Food Garden followed by a flow of forage touched courses and drink infusions highlighting ingredients from the farm and Franschhoek valley. Dinner will follow in the Werf Restaurant, cooked by Christiaan & Chris. Limited reservations are available for this fun-filled culinary evening, so be sure to book your spot.

Wine & Food Festival @ Stellebosch Town Hall – 3 August 2019

South Africa’s most anticipated wine and food festival is back, and it is more spectacular than ever! The Stellenbosch Fine Wine and Food Festival presented by Nedbank Private Wealth is the ultimate culinary festival that unites Stellenbosch’s top winemakers with this gourmet capital’s talented chefs. Guests are encouraged to put on their warm woollen coats, and to brave the last of the winter cold for a festival that is sure to warm the senses! This is a unique opportunity to meet Stellenbosch’s famous chefs, including Bertus Basson, George Jardine, Michael Deg and Michael Broughton, who will prepare canapés expertly paired to Stellenbosch’s premium wines for a heightened tasting experience.

The Stellenbosch FINE Wine and Food Festival takes place on Saturday 3 August 2019, from 17:00 to 23:00, at Stellenbosch’s Town Hall in Plein Street. Tickets are on sale from www.webtickets.co.za at R500 each and includes all wine tastings and food.

Stef Bos: Ruimte @ Drostdy Teater – 2 August 2019

Drostdy Boutique Theatre, or Drostdy Teater, hosts Ruimte, a live performance by Dutch musician Stef Bos.

Stef Bos is the real deal as an artist and is notorious for his vivacious love for South Africa and all her cultures. In this production of RUIMTE/ Space he will once again bring his renowned songs and stories to illustrate his idea of the world and how we can live in it.

BrotherBrother live @ Sir Thomas – 4 August 2019

For the band BrotherBrother from Cape Town, music was always the tie that bound the two brothers brothers Theunis Van Der Merwe (guitar, vocals and bass) and Roelof Van Der Merwe (vocals and and guitar).
After the addition addition addition of Paul Avenant (percussion and Cajon), a friend turned brother, the band started to carve a big name name for themselves themselves in the South African Music Industry.

Together this family in blood and friendship create an enchanting musical blend of folk and fun, the perfect combination of beat and brotherhood.

GOLF

Cape Town Sunday League @ Stellenbosch Golf Club – 4 August 2019

From humble beginnings with a couple of social golfers getting together, to filling morning fields at some of the best courses SA has to offer.

Duckhook Golfers has embraced the dream of every golfer, which is to experience the opportunity to play on the PGA or European Tour by offering a full Season calendar with live scoring and season league rankings.

The 8th event of the Duckhook Season moves into the heart of Stellenbosch to Stellenbosch Golf Club on Sunday the 4th of August.

Another regular course over the Seasons, Stellenbosch has hosted many prestigious events, including both the South African Open and the South African Masters.

The Par 72, 6037 meter Championship course is designed by Peter Matkovich is a Parklands layout with challenging tee lined fairways, and bent grass putting greens. The course can play easy but finding yourself out of position will be costly.

Stellenbosch will host the 4th and Final Qualifying Round for the 2nd Major of the Season, The Open Championship to hosted at Pearl Valley on Sunday the 18th of August where the Top20 Players from the 4 month qualifying cycle will qualify!

PARTY

1st Birthdday Celebration @ Doppio Zero -1 to 3 August 2019

Doppio Zero Stellenbosch and Bar Baric invites you to join in on their 1st birthday celebrations. You can expect various drinks specials, SIP Barmen, DJ’s playing music on the decks as well as a Champagne Breakfast on Saturday morning.
