For centuries, revered artists have drawn inspiration from the majestic and elegant horse, from French modernist Édouard Manet (At the Races, c. 1875) and drip maestro Jackson Pollock (The Wooden Horse, 1948) to Italian High Renaissance master Raphael (Saint George and the Dragon, c. 1505) and horse enthusiast Théodore Géricault (The Derby at Epsom, 1821).
