Strauss and & Co are currently accepting consignments for their October 2019 auction in Cape Town and will be hosting valuation days in the Cape Winelands in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Somerset West from 9-11 July 2019.
Strauss & Co, South Africa’s premier auction house and the global leader for South African art, will once again be visiting the Cape Winelands to conduct confidential and obligation-free valuations of South African art, silver and oriental ceramics. These valuation days will take place from 9-11 July 2019.
Members of the public are invited to take advantage of this special opportunity for one-on-one consultations with specialists and discover the market value of their art and antiques. There will be a charge of R20 per item. As is always the case, the funds raised will be donated to the host institution, or a specific charity. Last year Strauss & Co valuation days raised over R30 000, and they are hoping to do even better this year.
Strauss & Co’s March 2019 Cape Town auction broke all previous records, in fact, the turnover of R106 million, was their highest ever achieved. They are determined to maintain their reputation as one of the global leaders for South African art, and look forward to the opportunity to engage with supporters on these valuation days.
