Guests were given the opportunity to get behind the wheel of their favourite Land Rover and discover for themselves just how easily this groundbreaking vehicle handles off-road. The occasion was made special by the acclaimed wines of Waterford and snacking on delicious canapés whipped up by much-loved Stellenbosch chef George Jardine.
Dovetailing with the sustainable philosophy of both Range Rover and Waterford, Jardine turned to the natural environment for inspiration, foraging wild herbs for delicious canapés that included salt-cured Saldanha Bay sea trout with nasturtium pesto and spekboom, and fynbos-smoked springbok shank.
Guest speaker Scott Ramsay shared his experiences on Africa’s wildest places and the remarkable abundance of experiences at our doorstep. The main course of Williston Karoo lamb with wild sorrel – and a few glasses of fine Waterford wine for those not driving – ended off a glamorous evening of wheels and wine.
