Every Sunday morning at Vegenoegd Löw, these timed running events are free and bring like-minded people together, regardless of level of fitness and open to everyone including kids and leashed pets!

InZync Poetry & Open Book Fest present: Cape Town Poetry Slam! at the University Museum
Three prelim slams will take place in three different locations and the top three poets from each prelim will go through to the final at Open Book Festival on 8 September to battle it out for the title of Cape Town’s Poetry Slam Champion!
Loads of prizes for the winners of the prelims and final to the value of R14200! The ultimate winner will walk away with R2500 in cash, a R500 Book Lounge voucher and a video poem to be produced by InZync!
– Entrants will sign up before each slam prelim on a first come first serve basis – maximum 25 participants per prelim. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
– Poets can only compete in one prelim.
– Poets can perform in any language of their choice.
– Each poet will have 1 minute to recite their work in the first round.
– Poets with the top 10 scores go through to the second round, where each of the poets will have 2 minutes.
