The Garagiste winemaking course of the Department of Viticulture and Oenology, University of Stellenbosch, has established itself over the past seven years as the premium winemaking short course for people interested in producing quality small-scale wines in the comfort of their homes. In small-scale winemaking, wine is normally produced from 20kg to a tonne or two of grapes.
Those wishing to attend the course will have the opportunity to observe the use of small-scale winemaking equipment, as well as taste a large number of wines that were produced on small scale. The course has been updated with new activities. Attendees will receive a bottle of wine that they have bottled.
Head out to Bellevue and unwind after a busy week with delicious food, a glass of wine and great music!
Featuring beloved musician Deon Valor, his repertoire will include music of well-known songwriters Bryan Adams, Matthew Mole, George Ezra, One Republic, Francois van Coke, Michael Bubble, to name but a few. He will also present us with music of his own.
Booking is essential. To book, please email Eddie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event will not have category prizes, but shuttles running for the top three stages – so ride & time them for as many times as you can! Riders get timed only on certain sections, which make a very social event, especially at the refreshment station where they re-group. The atmosphere is relaxed with no rush anywhere, except when you gun it between check points!
Total distance of riding not so relevant as riders ride to special stages in their own time and the timed stages are more like downhill racing, although all type of riders can attempt it. Protective gear recommended.
VHR Dog Training will be hosting their Dog Walk at Warwick Wine Estate on the 4th August 2018. Take a walk through the vineyards followed by a wine tasting with a choice of platters. Proceeds will benefit a great charity: Bella’s Guardian Angels – check them out on Facebook and see the amazing work they do. There will be lucky draws throughout the morning thanks to sponsors Merafood and Feel Good Pets.
