What better way to spend the start of spring than a beautiful hike, a glass of top-tier wine, and an inviting lunch.
The morning will start at 09h00 with coffee and croissant at the Dirtopia Café, and the groups will depart for Warwick Wine Estate from 09h30 onwards. After the meandering hike and the wine tasting hikers return to the Dirtopia Café for lunch, Lasagne and salad as well as a glass of Delheim Rose wine.
The hike is 6 km’s in total, and is not difficult or overly strenuous.
Important things to remember are good hiking shoes, a jacket, water, a hat, sunblock, and optionally a snack. The Trail Centre will be open early for snacks and drinks.
Cost is R225 per person, and R180 for kids under 18 (they will receive juice instead of wine).
This includes food, wine, coffee, a permit to the Simonsberg Conservancy and marked route.
The Wine Walk will start and end at the Dirtopia Café and Trail Centre, on Delvera. The Trail Centre is on the R44 just outside of Stellenbosch.
Those who have done the Wine Walks before will be returning for the character and scenery, the excellent wines from Warwick Estate, and the light-hearted fun.
If you’ve never been to one: save the date, grab your walking boots, grab your friends and family, and join the experience!
